Beastars (2021), a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki, published in Akita Shoten’s Weekly shonen Champion from September 2016 to October 2020 with 20 lists of volumes.
Anime TV Series:
An anime tv series adaptation by Orange, the 1st season aired from October to December 2019.
The 2nd season aired from January to March 2021.
Beastars licensed by Netflix, the 1st season premiered outside of Japan in March 2020, and the 2nd season in July 2021.
Story:
The story opens when Tem, an alpaca and member of the Drama Club at Cherryton Academy, is killed and devoured.
No culprit is found, and the prestigious boarding school is hurled into a spiral of unease.
Anthropomorphic animals suffer from many problems arising from prejudice, love and their weaknesses.
The protagonist is a gray wolf named Legoshi, who has his first crush on a dwarf rabbit named Haru. Legoshi is baffled by his own feelings for Haru because he is not sure whether he loves her or wants to eat her.
Haru is aware that she is a weak herbivore but puts on a brave face.
