Advertising in Mobile Games, 2020

The top way Publishers choose to monetize in order to take an advantage in year 2020 was in-game mobile advertising.(In-game advertising is a monetization strategy that game developers use to boost their game’s revenue.)

 

E-marketer predicts that the US market for in-game advertising across all devices will exceed $3 billion this year, with mobile comprising 47% of that spend.

 

Google Ads data shows 400% increase in usage of rewarded ads.

 

AdColony‘s 2020 Mobile Publishing Survery, showed that the video ads and in-app purchases are the top way publishers choose to monetize.

Based on the survery resulted, 89% publishers rely on video ads, followed by in-app purchases 68%, display ads 35%, paid app downloads 17%, native ads 13%, affiliates 11%, eCommerce 10% and subcriptions 2%.
